Ski in / ski out in the Dolomites
The Bad Moos - Dolomites Spa Resort is a perfect ski-in/ski-out hotel in the Dolomites. Once you’ve arrived, your car can stay in our underground car park. The hotel offers wonderful views of the nearby Sexten Dolomites, our local Helm mountain and the Rotwand mountain. Both mountains, Helm and Rotwand, are part of the Drei Zinnen Dolomites ski resort with 100 km of pistes and plenty of panoramic slopes between Vierschach in the north and Padola in the south. You can access the best pistes on Helm and Rotwand, including the steepest piste in South Tyrol, directly from the hotel. And the excellent, less frequented descents of Padola are not far away either. In the afternoon, you can slide to a halt right in front of the hotel’s sun terrace.
For skiers who want even more there is the free* Ski Pustertal Express, which takes skiers from the Drei Zinnen Dolomites ski resort to the Kronplatz ski resort every 30 minutes. Explore 200 km of pistes in a single day directly from the hotel.
* The HOLIDAYPASS that you get from us on arrival entitles you to unlimited use of the ski buses in Pustertal and all public transport (including local trains) throughout South Tyrol.
You enter the cable car of the Croda Rossa directly in front of the Hotel Bad Moos and start a perfect day of skiing on the slopes of Alta Pusteria. Children, beginners, adults and advanced skiers will find an exceptionally wonderful skiing resort, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomites.
After 20 years of hard work, the time has come! The connection of the ski areas Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa is now complete! Thanks to the two new lifts "Stiergarten" and "Drei Zinnen" along with the
two slopes of the same name, you can now commute from one ski area to the other without limits and without a car. The ski resort now offers 90 km of perfectly groomed slopes.
And if you can't get enough of skiing, just hop on the free shuttle "Ski Pustertal Express", which takes you from the Sextner Dolomites ski area to the Plan de Corones ski resort every 30 minutes.
This means you can enjoy 200 kilometres of slopes in a single day, directly from the hotel. No need to take off your ski boots, no tedious car journey...and all this right on the doorstep of Hotel Bad Moos****s!
Our special offer for you!
Three times a week you can take part in a ski safari with our own guides.
Guided skiing is part of our weekly Move & Balance programme and is included in the price of your holiday. Important: You will need to take along the HOLIDAYPASS we give you when you arrive. The HOLIDAYPASS entitles you to unlimited use of the ski buses in Pustertal and all public transport (including local trains) throughout South Tyrol.
Ski hire & service
You can hire everything you need for skiing, and any additional skiing equipment you require, at the hire shop next door to the Bad Moos – Dolomites Spa Resort.
And if you want your skis to be serviced overnight, the ski hire shop can do that too.
At the Sesto Dolomites Ski and Snowboard School you can learn the correct skiing and snowboarding techniques. Whether you are a beginner or want to improve your carving style, the professionals at the ski school provide excellent individual and group tuition. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to do a deep snow course, master telemark skiing or ascend the mountain on touring skis? All of these are possible at the ski school.
Have you forgotten something at home?
No worries, you won't have to go far because the ski rental is located directly at the hotel in Sexten.
Even after a day of skiing fun, the service is close by. Get your skis in top shape for the next skiing day, always directly at the ski rental.
And if you’re planning on skiing with children, the little ones will be very well looked after on the ski course while you enjoy flying down the slopes of the Drei Zinnen Dolomites ski resort.
We have joined forces with the Sexten Dolomites ski school to offer passionate skiers a unique skiing experience combined with a flight over the Dolomites! Start at 8.30 a.m. and travel up to the Helm peak. Ski down to Vierschach. Catch the 9.08 a.m. train to Percha with the guide. Then take the Ried circular cable car up to the top of Kronplatz. Enjoy an energetic descent from Kronplatz towards St. Vigil and take another cable car to Sunpunt. From here, a chairlift takes you to the Alta Badia ski resort, followed by a descent to La Villa. Then it’s up again with the Piz La Ila cable car to the beautiful ski pistes leading to Corvara. Time for lunch in one of the numerous beautiful mountain restaurants in the ski area around Corvara. We take in a few pistes around Corvara to aid digestion after lunch and at around 4 p.m. set off on a breathtaking journey home by helicopter from Pralongia (above Corvara). If the weather is suitable, the flight takes us over fantastic mountain formations: the Grödner Joch (Gardena Pass), the Ampezzo Dolomites, then over the Dolomites of Misurina and finally over the Drei Zinnen peaks to Sexten, landing close to the Bad Moos - Dolomites Spa Resort.
From EUR 200 per person. The price depends on the size of the group and whether there are any return flights booked to Corvara (this tour is also offered from Corvara to Sexten).
Important: HOLIDAY CARD and Super Ski Pass. Both need to be organised the day before. Details about how to book and the organisation of the tour are available at reception.
